Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Tygear handles information when you use the Tygear macOS app or visit tygear.app.
Information Tygear collects
The Tygear macOS app does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, telemetry, or tracking SDKs.
Tygear does not create an account for you and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, browsing history, device identifiers, or the content you type.
Keyboard shortcuts and input sources
Tygear uses the macOS system hotkey API to respond only to the shortcut combinations you configure. It does not monitor, intercept, record, or transmit your keystrokes or typed content.
Tygear does not require Accessibility or Input Monitoring permission. It reads the list of input sources enabled in macOS only so it can display them and switch to the source you choose.
Information stored on your Mac
Your shortcut assignments, selected default input sources, display-language preference, launch-at-login preference, and trial start date are stored locally using macOS system preferences. Tygear does not upload these settings to us.
Purchases
Purchases and restorations are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the Mac App Store. Tygear receives only the product and entitlement status needed to unlock the app. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
Apple handles App Store information under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Website analytics and delivery
tygear.app uses Google Analytics by default to measure visits and interactions. Google Analytics may process a random client identifier, approximate location, browser or device information, and on-site activity. It may use first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish visitors and sessions.
Tygear uses this information to understand aggregate website usage and improve the site. Website Analytics cannot see what you type in the Tygear app, and the macOS app does not include the Google Analytics SDK.
You can block or delete Analytics cookies using your browser settings or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may process limited technical request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.
Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
Because the Tygear app does not collect personal data, we do not retain app data on our servers. Local app settings remain on your Mac until you change them or remove Tygear's preferences.
Google Analytics event-level data is retained for up to 14 months. Deleting or blocking Analytics cookies stops that browser from using the existing cookie identifier but does not remove statistics already included in aggregate reports. You can contact us to request deletion or ask questions about website data.
Children's privacy
Tygear does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other user.
Changes to this policy
If Tygear's data practices change, this page will be updated before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the latest version.
